The work of Daniel Dewar & Grégory Gicquel violates the pre-established codes of sculpture and features a physical reengagement with materials and processes, including embroidery, weaving, ceramics, wood and stone carving. Published on the occasion of their solo show "Le nu et la roche" at HAB Galerie in Nantes, this publication documents their recent series in marble, dolerite, granit as well as the marqueteries combining various sanitary wares such as bidets, sinks, and soap dishes with nude body parts.
